I heard that having more adsense ads on a page decreases overall ePCM. I've got quite a few adverts on my site with some being out of sight and presumably getting minimal clicks- would removing these be a good idea? Would it be better to just leave them there on the off chance that somebody clicks or does having these rarely-clicked ads bring down my earnings? Thanks
1. You should not worry about ePCM. What you should look for is the net earnings. 2. Always make it a point to test. if you think there is possibly a better location/color scheme/ number of ads, test it for couple of days. There is nothing like one size fits alls. 3. The ad block that get maximum clicks should be the first one appearing on your HTMl source code. The reason is, the first block will have best paying ads and 2nd and 3rd will have considerably lower paying ads. So if your first block is on the header which gets very few clicks and the second one is in the content which gets good CTR, you can see a considerable increase in revenue by removing the first ad block on header. You will be surprised by the results if you have such a situation. This is the reason for most people saying less ads pay better. In any case, the third adblock will be considerably lower paying. So I would recommend running only 2 ad blocks maximum. I am sure your visitors will also love that.
