I tried posting this in the mootools google groups but got no answer. maybe somebody could help.

using the uncompressed mootools 1.2 core file (whole thing), i get the following error...

    Webpage Script Errors

    User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0; SU 3.011; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; InfoPath.2)

    Message: Access is denied.

    Line: 3625
    Char: 3
    Code: 0
    URI: http://site.com/js/mootools.js

all I see at Char 3 on that line is whitespace, so i'm wondering what the heck it could be. Doesn't happen all the time, but it still is causing problems...

not using joomla (custom script), but if you post what you did to fix it, I may be able to figure on what's wrong with mine...

erm, the 'char' reporting is rather inaccurate (in my experience) - is this from firebug's report?

which version of mootools? can i see a url? :) the reason why nobody bothered on the mootools mail list is probably because your question is too obscure with very little real info - to get help on hard to solve issues, use things like pastebin or build pseudo models of the code that will break and can be easily downloaded / played with for debug purposes.

having said that, i stopped posting on the mootools mail list - since they killed the forum, i have kind of been put off
