Jesus isn't scared of conflict in holy places... just read the bible. He got ticked off and kicked over tables and chairs inside of a temple. It just has to be for the right reasons.

Jesus would be ashamed if he saw how petty some of his "followers" are.

petty? What do you mean? I have always taken petty to mean "insignificant" but I don't see how this would apply to Jesus considering it is clear that he views us as anything other than petty. Perhaps you meant to use a different word here?

    I'm guessing no.

Material things, no matter how significant, aren't supposed to matter to Christians.

Their treasures, as the Bible puts it, are laid up in heaven.

Pictures... this thread is useless without pictures.

When I saw the title I was thinking monks from like kung-fu buddha or whatever. The descriptions of these guys and their colorful garments sounds interesting, so we need those pictures to make me stop laughing at what I imagine them looking like. Seems like a lot of the "uniforms" that some of these groups where make the pope look like a fashion model.

You're right. The lack of Kung-Fu in those images is extremely disappointing.

    Religion perhaps?

Assuming they're drinking holy water, that is.

I can't believe I missed what he wrote, I swear it said Americans and yes I did know that there were Armenians involved.

(Now watch someone (don't need to name names) will take my mistake and try to drag me through the mud in 15 different threads. LOL)
