Monitoring bandwidth usage on a dedicated server

    hey

    Can anyone tell me a convenient way to monitor bandwidth usage on my server? I dont have a control panel so I am at a loss :)

    Or install Webmin a Free Admin Panel to manage your server.
    Easy to install and they offer a tools "Bandwidth Monitoring"

    I tried the bandwidth thing in Webmin, but it threw up an error :p

    me it came with cpanel and it's good. counting all traffic going in and out from your card.

    I am using Munin. You can graph your bandwidth usage with a lot of other things related to your server (like cpu & memory usage, webserver and ftp access etc.).

    It is pretty popular, so there should be an pre compiled/configured package in your distros repository.
