You have to call your bank and ask them for the EUR value of the deposit. I had the same problem and I wrote a blog post about the entire Moneybookers experience in India. Hope you find it useful!

Actually, the debit card verification method is quite easy. MB will withdraw any amount (less than 3 Euro) from your debit card (bank) account. You can see the INR value in your bank account after this. Just note down the details of the transaction and call your bank's (at main office) credit/debit card department. Once you are connected to a responsible person in that department, request the person to find the entire details of the transaction.

You may have to give the background about the MB verification-related transaction, and tell the person that it is for one-time verification of your debit card. (I guess, this is a normal international procedure done by the card company, and the card-holder can rightfully request the additional details which are not shown normally in the bank statement -- in case of debit card.)The person will tell you the amount. He/She may say that it is in US$, but it is actually in Euros. Then fill that amount in your MB verification page. That's it! MB's verification withdrawal will be given back in your MB a/c (it may be a little less than what was taken out - as per exchange rate at that time), and the debit card verification process will be over. Mine is a INR account with MB, and I got back about Rs. 20 less -- but that was absolutely fine!

This was how the verification process happened in my case. The UBI person at the debit/credit department in UBI's Mumbai main office was thankfully very cooperative. In fact he told me that this was his first time at such verification txn! I told him that this would be a great education for him too, and he too acknowledged that fact quite sportingly! A wonderful person...

I was able to do it last week with the above process. :)

    HTH :)

My AXIS Bank debit card did not work with moneybookers.

But their support is good- atleast to me, so no problem, you may ask them.
