Moneybookers To Issue Visa Card?

    Hi there!

In november 2008, there was an announcement that Moneybookers will issue Visa debit card, linked to Moneybookers account. They say that it will be done for VIP customers, and I asked their customer support, and they said that it will be offered to all users later... So anyone has any news, information about that? I don't want to bother their customer support every month asking the same question, so does anyone knows anything?

    Here is original news:

VIP customers will have more convenient access to funds

Moneybooker VIP clients, in growing numbers, are reporting the imminent arrival of a new VISA card facility from the e-cash processing company, which is based in the UK and regulated by the FSA.

Customers report receiving emails from Moneybookers this week which advise that the new cards will be available from January 2009, giving faster and more convenient access to funds using the widespread network of VISA accepting bank ATMs.

The new facility is part of an extensive overhaul of the Moneybookers VIP programme, which has included reduced deposit fees and no transaction limits.

Interested parties are asked to contact the VIP Account Manager at Moneybookers for full details.

I got no latest information on this one -- in fact it is my first time to hear this good news. Hope they will push through this plan.

    Just type at google:

    Moneybookers visa card

VIP customers already have it, but to be VIP, you must transfer big amounts.
Hope to see for all soon.

If MoneyBookers offer a worldwide VISA card it would be great :) However I feel, it'll take at least one year.

This should be a natural step to take if MB want to develop their services. Preparations for mass production should take a while...

I think, It won't be difficult for MoneyBookers to be equal with PayPal if they come up with this type of solutions. Already MoneyBookers is the 2nd most popular third party payment processor.

Well, I am not aware of that but I tried moneybookers and it never worked for me. I tried to verify my credit card but it would not verify. And finally I had to close that account.

I had no problem verifying my cc. I was also able to verify my address here in Ireland which is not possible with paypal.

Actually I was able to verify my address but not CC. I have Visa as well as MC but both of them would not verify. But I could very well verify them with PayPal.

I contacted the support and they were also not able to find out the exact reason. For this reason, I though its better to close the account.
