Hello Selvaraj i m n0t from india but i use moneybookers u cant use other branch swift code ... jus call ur bank and ask it they will tell u 0r find it on swift directory .. if ur bank use correspondant bank thn u cant use moneybookers
No buddy you can't use other branch's swift code at all, you must confirm the swift code of your branch from your bank. Call them and find out.
YOU CAN!!! But some conditions applied... If your SBI branch do not have a SWIFT code, you can ask them for their controlling branch's SWIFT, in most cases the main branch of the same city. It means the SWIFT code of the main branch in the city can be used if the other brach of the city doesn't have one.
Better you contact your branch and ask for a SWIFT code but you can use your nearest branch or nearest city branch SWIFT code as now all SBI accounts under core banking (link with each other) IMO. DON.
Most of the branches in cities does have their own swift codes. So I recommend OP to contact the bank, rather than using any code himself.
here search for you city swift code from this list of available swift codes total 117 swift codes http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=3278010&postcount=31 if you dont find the swift code of your city find the swift code of your district or near by city and use it for you account if any problem contact me i can help you also
you only need to put the default last three words XXX SBININBB613 STATE BANK OF INDIA (TFCPC, COIMBTORE) COIMBATORE SBININBBXXX STATE BANK OF INDIA MUMBAI
You can get Swift code which is otherwise known as IFSC code from the below link This link covers all IFSC or Swift code of all banks remember to take of your exact branch http://www.keralait.com/keralait/IFSC/IFSC_CODE_INDIAN_BANKS.html I hope this helps you....
Please check that code again, because SBI Swift codes begin with "SBININBBxxx" (definitely begins with "SBININ" and not SBIN00yyyyy" as you mentioned), where "xxx" is some numeric code. The code that you have given is the bank's IFSC code and not the Swift code assigned to it. Both are different. EDIT: Oops! Sorry! I just answered to a very old post! But still, the information is relevant IMHO.
