    Hi,

If I request money from someone that hasn't a Moneybookers account, will they have to register to be able to send me the money?

Also, can I widthdraw funds directly to my Visa Debit Card if I live in Romania?

    Thanks,
    Cris

Yes, they need to register if they want to pay you via MoneyBookers. Theis is the biggest disadvantage I've seen about it, other than that, they are better than PayPal.

    Yes, you can withdraw, probably.

Not only they will have to register, they will have to go through all the verification process to pay you.

This can make them go around pulling their hair and simply can make them (your clients) so annoyed that they can walk out of business deal.

In short, moneybookers is good for transfer between people, not very useful for receiving payments for work especially if the client dont have moneybookers account.

Just to add: their merchant services enable quick payment process but is limited to only upto 250Euro

I think when you have a trusted customer you could choose another method but better to have MB than a big loss from fraud.

Well, if you do not have the merchant services set up for Moneybookers then the other party will not only have to register, get their account verified, they will then need to fund their moneybooker's accounts and depending on what they use, it could takes some time to have the account loaded and besides that they will need to probably incur an additional fee to loading up funds to their accounts. You might lose an new customer that way because it is complicated.

Moneybookers will work if they already have an existing account or if the customer plan to maintain a long term paying relationship with you. If it is something one time, it may not help.
