Moneybookers, Paypal or E-Gold ?

    Hello,

I am running a webhosting business as many of you might now :) :p

But, lately i have been having some mature issues with my Paypal account were paypal goes around screwing over and think they can do like they want..

But, i want to move to E-Gold or Moneybookers, maybe both.. But i am unsure, is E-Gold and Moneybookers as good as PayPal? And most important, does people actually use it? Because i think that if i get rid of PayPal completely then i would lose a big customer base.. Properly bigger then the E-Gold and Moneybooker users...

The fees on MB and E-Gold, are they higher? Lower? Then Paypal? I am looking for peoples thoughts and ideas here, is it an good idea to get rid of Paypal as one of the payment options on my website?

    Thanks,
    Freddy

    Choosing between Paypal , Moneybookers , E-Gold

Throw away Paypal, don't even think about that.

So you have Moneybooekrs or E-Gold.

If you need to send money to someone I would suggest Moneybookers
but don't receive money from people on moneybookers, upload from your bank account or credit card and you won't have problems.

If you need to receive money on your account I would suggest e-gold.

    Hello,

I appreciate your answer :) But your not actually giving me a reason to why i should do what.. Like why should i trow away PayPal? And why on earth should i only send money on MoneyBookers and not receive?

And its not a good thing to send money with E-gold? Or does it only work for receive of money.

    Thanks,
    Freddy

I think you should use Paypal, moneybookers and egold.Although, i think your 98% customers will probably use paypal.Egold is not really good since you cannot fund your account using credit card or bank account.
    Thanks

    Hello,

So if you cannot fund your E-Gold account by using Credit Card or Bank account.. Then how on earth does the money get there in the first place? :p

    Thanks,
    Freddy

    Hello,

Hehe, yes indeed :p But the exchanger need to get the money inside E-Gold somehow :p

How about getting the money away from E-Gold? Can you transfer to bank account or something?

    Thanks,
    Freddy

I love paypal because it is easy to use, and everyone has it.

The only bad thing is their support, and the fraud that goes on in it.

How is your hosting biz going??

If its going smooth, get yourself a merchant account and start using CC on your site. Most of them have a monthly fee, but if you look at over all charges, I think it would be almost same.

MoneyBookers would be my 2nd best option but I dont think many people actually use it. (Though, it's good ti have it as an option)

Wish you all the best :)

    Hello,

Thank you, but i was wondering on the CC. That only allow people with a Credit Card to buy something from me.. And not people who uses paypal, like unverified and so on :(

    Thanks,
    Freddy

Receiving money by people using Moneybookers you will have problems before or later, they can ask you: " for what you received that payment? bla bla bla " and in addition someone can send you stolen funds.

Yes with e-gold you can send and receive funds, may happens that your account can be blocked, but it's not a bad problem.

I hear good words also for Liberty Reserve

So all in all, then you guys recommended Paypal for every uses.. But for sending money you suggest MoneyBookers and to send money you suggest E-Gold ?

A bit weird eh? So when a client orders from me he will use E-Gold to send the money to, but if he dislikes the hosting then i will refund on Moneybookers? :D :p

Paypal is definitely a must since almost everyone who transact online uses paypal. Moneybookers and e-gold are great secondary payment processors. If not for paypal being widely used, I really like e-gold because there is no chargebacks. Once you are paid you stay paid.

But Moneybookers is the place to Send and Receive money. Why have to ask "for what?", I can answer "From business or from friends". So How can I use Moneybookers for my main business to receive fund?
Moneybookers also accept Credit card from buyer, same as paypal right now.

Use all 3 and let the buyer decide.
