    Hello all

So as a NON-US Citizen/Resident I am looking for the best way to send and recieve money without having to cut through any red tape when trying to send money to my bank account or obtain a credit card. Basically I want a method to get cash in my hands.

I already have a paypal account and well, if I'm not a US Resident I cannot withdraw funds or add funds to my account. Ive heard alertpay and moneybookers being mentioned quite a few times and I just wanted a few reviews, pros & cons etc from a few people who have used any of the three services. Specifically:

    Scam or Not
    Fee comparisons
    Sending/Recieving payments
    Ease of withdrawal
Most Importantly: Are people willing to send payment via moneybookers. I would like to accept payments via this service but how many people are willing to use moneybookers to send money over paypal?

    Hey deshoda,

Yeah this can be a real problem. It took me a long time to figure this out as a NON US Cit. also.

    AlertPay and Moneybookers aren't scams.

I think Moneybookers is bigger than AlertPay. But I saw in the past that Moneybookers was only letting US Citzs. set up account that work the same as what we get from PayPal. Not the case with Alertpay to the best of my knowledge.

    Moneybookers as lower fees

I have not had success with Moneybookers as a payment process and I am working with Alertpay now.

Yes, people will use both but keep in mind you can't pay from PayPal to any other account they have to create a new account.

If you are selling products and services take a look at this thread which I talk about some alternatives http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1990017 all of these really simplify the receiving and withdrawal process of accepting money online.

    Thank you!

    So from what i understand:
Non US residents use alertpay but most US customers (and worldwide) use paypal so you may have to stick with paypal's check system. Moneybookers is a option as well but more of a last resort is the other two dont work very well.

I think it depends on your needs and what are you selling?

I see your sig. is for writing can I assume you are wanting to sell your writing services? If that's the case you may want to checkout a company like 2Checkout.com or Avangate.com. This would allow your customers to use a CC or PayPal (which everyone can Pay with PayPal as you know) And you vcan withdrawal your money to a Payoneer card.

If your selling articles I don't know which one is better. I found that setting up my account and getting phone and CC verified was very easy with AlertPay. But Moneybookers is a bigger company than AlertPay and has lower transaction fee's. I guess the thing to find out is can someone from the US pay to you Moneybookers account without you having to sign up for their merchant account. Or you could just sign up for their merchant account and than anyone could pay via CC.

I know I am not exactly answering the question but it's also what you find te most comfortable to use.
