    Good question. I'd say between $15000-$30000 month. Any mod can give us a clue, if it is no secret...?

    Probably high $xxxx - low $xx,xxx a month in hosting fees. i dont think there are any other costs as mods kindly work for free :)

    I guess most of the money goes to cover hosting fees but I am also wondering what other fees does a forum like DP incur?

    mods work since they are all diffrent alias of Shawn himself. The VB does not cost much but i guess private servers cost some money and take traffic like hell.

    Yep, they do it all for free. At least the ones I know do anyway.

    And really, the only cost will be server maintenance.

    You can get a good dedicated sever for about $300-$400 a month I don’t know much about forums but I would think that would be enough to run this place.

    Along with the volunteer mods

    One single server won't be able to run the forum. I think it needs at least a cluster of servers, load balancer etc, the maintenance wouldn't come cheap.

    It would cost a lot to run this place.

    I would like the ad revenue, but not to pay the server bills :)
