I'm getting ready to purchase and develop a new domain for my personal use so it doesn't really matter which name I call it. Both words work for the content I intend to have. However, there is always a possibility of eventually selling the domain. In that case I'd prefer to choose a name that may be of value to potential buyer sometime down the line. So which has the best value for domain name? "Money" or "Revenue"? Also, which would get more traffic? I'm thinking "money". What do you all think?
"Money" is searched and used much more than "Revenue". Also money is shorter and more easy to type . According to DP's keyword tool "Money" is searched 20000 times a day and "Revenue" 300 times a day.
Yeah, I tend to agree... lol, the more the think about it the more I think it was a dumb question.. honestly, "revenue" is better for the content I plan to have but looking at the big picture I'd better go with "money"... Thanks for the help...
Agreed. But revenue is more professional. Depends on your target market. People like me...Money. Finance Professionals, Revenue, or Finance. JMO
hmm, good point... and now I'm right back where I started... of course, it could depend on which one was available to go with my other word... like moneywidget or revenuewidget for example... I haven't done a domain name search yet... I'm still thinking...
I usually make some dumb mistake every time I get a domain name so that's the reason I thought I'd give this one a little more thought, hehe... I'll check Google, thanks for the suggestion... Edit: I might go with the more professional look of "revenue". When I did a Google search for money+mykeyword I turned up a lot of cheesy looking sites. Revenue+mykeyword does look more professional. Not saying my site won't be cheesy, but I don't want it screaming "cheesy" right off the bat!
money gets more searches than revenue. shoemoney sounds better than shoerevenue. cheesymoney is still available. profit is better than revenue if you don't want to use money.
Doesn't "Money" also triggers spam blockers? Something to think about if your are doing any email marketing.
I would actally get both www.whateveryouaregettingmoney.com www.whateveryouaregettingrevenue.com "Money" triggers alot of pop up blockers as it is used by alot of pop ups you have won money or cash worst words for triggering pop up blockers money win cash anti virus spyware winner hope thats helped
Day2Day, I didn't even know pop-up blockers worked that way. I thought they were triggered the browser opening another window and blocked that way. hmansfield, which spam blockers can I get that will do that? hehe No, I don't plan to do any spamming, er email marketing... htmlindex, that is something to consider also... I'm leaning towards "revenue" or "profit" as someone else suggested though... tobycoke thanks for the suggestion of "profit"...I hadn't thought of that one yet... hmansfield, nothing, just *grinning* Day2Day, that is a good thing to consider... I think I"m leaning towards ruling "money" out...
