Ya... If you have interest in Music, you can make a blog about it. But, do you have any contact with underground band? Try to interview them to attract more visitors to your blog. Or you can get some sample song from them.
You can make money on any topics with blog. The only reason that your blog cannot make money is just because of you don't do the blog.....
Try something for which there isn't already a million sites but quite a bit of interest. Music may be real hard.
Try to be first with the news, maybe its a local news in your area. If you get enough traffic to your site money will follow.

They could get the exposure and you could earn money. Though, Music looks to be a tougher bargain. On the other hand if you are interested in the wii, you could go ahead and make a gaming blog, where you can review or alternatively put in news of the latest games released for different consoles. User interaction is important, add a voting or commenting system. You could start with affiliate programs and adsense on your site, earn some money, get popularity, not to mention, your Page Rank and think of a bigger plan like concentrating only on wii. Erm... Ya... If you want to blog for money, you have to take a lot of time to write quality contents for your blog. I took 70 days for my blog reach daily earning about 50cents from adsense. And, this amount is very low.
choose a topic that you have passion for, otherwise you will run out of quality posts after a really short time as in everything in life if you do something that you love you will do it well, and the rest will come as a consequence
