You need to heavily niche your host. Another oversold host, meh, I doubt it. For example, non-oversold hosting is great.
The problem with all the hosting deals you see on the forum is they sell hosting for as little as $3 per month.. What you need to ask yourself is what kind of hosting you are getting for $3 per month???? We rnt the cheapest host's around but we are small - medium sized business hosts that offer value for money. You would not beleive how many people we have transferred from a cheap host say on $3 per month to our own hosting. The key in any hosting deal is the service, you offer a good service and support people will keep coming back time & time again!! Regards, steve
Yes, I think there is still money in providing hosting, you have to provide more personal service and after sales to get more customers.
Thats it you offer the personal service people will always come back. One thing that i have noticed with these cheap hosting company that offer the $3 per month deals, is that they never seem to be around for a 12months!!!!

Being in the hosting business for the psat few months and running it successfully, i can tell you one thing that there's is still money in hosting who can afford to wait for some good amount of time, sometimes even months. You cannot make money overnight in hosting. The better your support team works, the faster you can reach the break even.
