Money comes with experience

    Hello all,

Over the last few years, i have been a member of the forum and an active observer. There have been many people, books and websites claiming they could teach you to make $100 and more not in weeks or months but in days. I think all of this is BS.

Over the years, like a few newbies [i do admit i was one and when comparing with my role models i still am] i too bought these books and wasted my time, money and effort on these book or methods. I do not say that these methods don't work, they might but most of them don't or give a very small result. However, you do learn from them. I did too.

I think money comes from experience. There was a time 4~5 years ago when i was struggling to get a job, work for some money and pay of my bills. But now, once i have some experience in my field, without having a portfolio site i am earning much much more then expected.

I do think that experience plays a vital role when earning money or looking for clients and working with them?

    What do you guys think?

I disagree, and I actually believe the opposite is very true. Having absolutely no experience has one big advantage... thinking far outside the box. Those who use their experiences tend to hold themselves back cause they've created "rules". If you notice, the biggest success stories come from beginners.

True. In online business, IMHO experience is less important. In the offline corporate world experience will be more important where you work as slaves to the corporate chieftains who maintain their high positions by pushing down people with less experience.
That is the beauty with online business as it is great equalizer and everyone has chance to succeed. You don't need to have huge experience or know important people to succeed. :)

I think it totally depends on the person. Sure experience can have a possitive effect. But everyone is different, and everyones situations are different.

If you have been successful in the past, the more experience you have the have the better you will perform as time goes on. This is not to say that someone with no experience will not be successful. Rather, over time and through practice you will get better at what you do by learning from past mistakes and also learning to scale past successes.

I think its a gift and a curse, because like Joesmillion said it restricts thinking a lot of times and does create mental rules/barriers that are at times hard to break through.
On the other hand experience will also save you lots of time/money/headache, and is a big selling point when dealing with new clients.

I can agree with the term Flow of Money can be raised using Experience.. but it doesn't seem that only Experience can make money only

    Yes 99% agreed.

But you also need to have 1% luck because if nobody give you opportunity to do work then you never growth.

I can only say experience will make the work easy but not the major factor.
However, i do agree that 99% of the ebook or those "trick" are BS

The best part with experience is that you can easily get clients as you already have a pre-built reputation....
However will agree to mentos that luck does count in

I must be wired differently because the more knowledge I have and the more experience I gain the more I can think outside "the box". Of course you've fabricated the box because what exactily the box is will change between person to person and is based around inteligence. You have to understand what your thinking outside of before you can think outside of it, common sense pal this is simple logic.

Experience counts a lot but if the person is smart enough, then he can start off with a success story just as easily an experienced person would. Such persons may/may not find bigger successes in the future, but at least they can bank on a fairly reasonable success right from the start. It all depends on the person's intelligence and techniques.

No matter you believe in it or not, when you apply a job, the interviewer will ask you if you have related experience. In fact, they still prefer people with experiences. But to be frank, the past experience may not be use in the future work. This just is the paradox. I still think ability is the most important thing.
