Hello, i want to sell my first video tutorial. There are some unanswered questions, Im new to this. - Should I offer a 30day money back guarantee? How many ppl use this? Are there any average rates? I think they are satisfied with the product, but i think there are many "donks" out there they want it for free. bye, Phil PS: not topic related: The size is about 600MB to 1.8 GB (depends what quality). Is it useful to offer a shipping "hard-copy" alternative or download only? (i can provide full speed d/l server)
I know when I've sold on clickbank, I get a return rate of 12%. Clickbank says to expect at least a 5% return rate due to fraud. In general the longer the return period, the less returns you will have. Also, if you sell a hard copy instead of a download, you will weed out many "donks". It's too much work to repackage something and ship it back (plus pay shipping) just for a refund. Selling hard copy, and offering a longer return period (60 to 90 days) will give you less returns overall.
If the size is that big, I would definitely recommend selling it in DVD format. I have an audio interview recently for my customer to downlaod and its just 60mb, but my customers who use dial up still complains it took them 90 minutes to download just that. Yes I'd say a money back gaurantee is a must, not only does it increase sales, it makes you look more legit and uphold the industry standard at the same time.
60/90 day return period= very smart first people pay example.. $49.00--> downloading all digital products--> and after ask money back.. Stolen products so... Clickbank encourages theft:!!!!
Theres always going to be a small percentage on "charge back" and these people make it a career. And those people, aren't even the "right" customers, so just pay for it, and move on to what matters.
