Okay over the past couple days I've stumbled on some fairly nice traffic keywords, each bringing in about 20K each and with the top 10 competition only having on average 26backlinks from low authority websites. The problem it's a niche that I don't see how it could be monetized. An example would be say Oil Tankers, how the heck would you make money from that? I mean there are no affiliate programs selling them, you can't sell fuel to them, and adsense would be lacking due to the problems just mentioned. The only thing I've thought of is maybe some book sales about oil tankers or whatever since the people coming to the site want to know about them and how big they are and just general info. Does anyone have any ideas?
If I were in your shoes and couldn't find a decent advertising platform for oil tankers, I'd go behind the scenes and sell text links (provided your site has PR).
