Monetizing Photo Software Domain - Affiliates?

A while back, I won a drop auction for a good domain name. It's a 3-worder (no dashes, no TM names) related to photo software downloads. It's got good search figures for the phrase (~80k broad and 10k exact monthly according to AdWords keyword tool).

I wonder how best to build out and monetize this site. Would appreciate some general tips.

The first thing that came to mind is affiliate programs - companies that pay for sending them users who'll download freeware / trials / full versions of their programs. To that end, I have already joined the Adobe affiliate program, but would appreciate some ideas on what else is out there for this niche.

    Thanks!

perhaps a directory of products and reviews of this type of software would work well.
Check out Amazon.com and see what is selling well in that niche by viewing by Best Selling.
Amazon is always great to see what is selling well when it comes to products such as this.
They are also a good source for putting together your product reviews because you already have many personal reviews to gather data from

If it gets that many searches, I would just find 3 good affiliate programs and write content around them to post on the site.

Thanks for the ideas. I've found some good related affiliate programs and signed up for them. Going to present them on the site with short summaries, star ratings, and download links. Will see how that works out.

Need some help! Any tips appreciated.

After doing some well organized link building, the site bounced up in Google SERPs in mid-August, as high as #5 and currently in #7 for my main phrase.

BUT - it looks like the affiliate links are just not selling. I can tell I'm driving traffic well: almost 700 organic search visitors resulting in 90 affiliate clicks from my landing home page (tracked with Analytics events + affiliate reporting). But not one sale :(
