I have a website that is well positioned to generate leads for assorted manufacturers. The sales process is fairly complex (custom goods), so I cant just put their finished goods up on the website and make my profit directly from the sale. If I make the referral to a manufacturer, I am at a loss as to how I can insure making my agreed upon profit % from the manufacturers from my lead when I can not track the leads accurately. Is there a technological solution to this? Do I just need to call all leads and follow up? Any thoughts appreciated!
That is what I might have to fall back upon.. Unfortunately, with lots of customization it is slow, and results in a pretty labor intense process. But I may have no other choice. I was hoping I could make less per sale, but pass the development work on to the manufacturer- who is better equipped to close the sale anyway...
