Before I get into this, I want to apologize for asking some questions that I could do the research on myself. However, since I'm living in China, the internet is like 60% blocked, and very very slow going through tor, so if I can just ask some members here, and maybe get pointed in the right direction that would save me a ton of time. I'm looking for stuff to monetize some Joomla sites. I had all of this down to a science at one point, but abandoned all of those projects a year or more ago. Here's what I'm searching for: 1. An adsense module or bot that will automatically put the ad code in the content body (above the fold, preferably), without me having to insert any kind of {code} into the content, or modify the template. It would be best if something existed that I could use with other contextual or similar advertising programs, in case anything funny happens with adsense in the future, so I don't have to go back and do a ton of work. 2. A way to monetize the Fireboard forum component for Joomla. I can insert some sponsored by links or adsense code or whatever under the names of the different boards in the forum index, but I want to put stuff in the actual threads, in a way that's similar to what you can do with other forums. 3. I'de like to provide the option to turn ads off for registered users, to encourage sign-ups. I guess the easiest way to do this would be to put everything in modules, and only have them shown to the traffic that's not logged in, but is there an available solution for this, off the shelf? 4. Anything else about monetizing Joomla that people can throw my way would be appreciated. As I mentioned, I could figure all of this stuff out on my own, but the difference is what I could do in a day in South Korea, Thailand or India will take me a week in China, so +rep for anybody who can offer me some suggestions.
