Monetizing a proxy site

    We have a proxy site www.proxy4china.com which has huge traffic, but CTR and income from Adsense is ridiculously low. What other methods would you recommend to monetize and pay at least for the bandwidth?

    Proxy sites are famous for not offering high CTRs because everyone visiting is interested in getting transferred to other websites in a matter of seconds and might not pay attention to the ads.

    2. Add two large adsense squares above the search box
    3. Move the rectangle below the search box
    4. start to see more clicks

    Thanks guys, will implement your suggestions ASAP.

    I started by blending the ads but the CTR is even lower than what it is now, so I don't think I will be back to it...

    If you are getting a lot of traffic you could sell direct ads for quite a bit. You'd be amazed how much people will pay for text ads/banner ads!
