    Hey Guys,

We have this blog, one in the recent blog feature, and it gets very good traffic about 600-800 uniques a day, but there seems to be something wrong there almost no CTR on the AdSense in recent days, the CTR is always at like 0.1% anything wrong with the blog? Any suggestions? What can we do to monetize it better...

during holidays people have very specdial preferences about topics of interest

    these days only greetings mostly
while xmas many other interest such as purchasing gifts etc

hence these very "new year days" clicks largely depend on precise topic of each post on blog and on ads served - me for examle all previous days i had highest traffic of all times
but on 31 dec/jan 1st some of the very lowest
people are partying - no time for shopping
thats perfect for me - people have a right to have fun rather than to spent $ all times

just wait another few days/weeks and all may be back to near normal

Is the traffic visitors who are coming back to your site or who just landed from the SERPs?

Is it for your thirdsquare blog?

Your adsense is pretty low down the page which isn't the best place.

Use the header or top left for adsense and ctr should pick up.

I get the most money from my blogs compared to other sites. They also have the highest CTR's. I use adsense deluxe wordpress plugin to stick bits of adsense code into my posts, under or on the right hand side of images. Works a treat!

I'm also concerned that the ads on the site are about Blogs rather than what's being written in the post - its the age old blog/adsense optimization problem. I've just made a guide on optomizing a blog for relevant AdSense ads - I've turned my two main blogs around by using these principles - its mainly typical SEO stuff, but it seems you have to work extra hard with blogs.

This should help considerably. Also, you might try keeping a white background for the Adsense to "blend" into the layout a little better.
