    Hi guys and gals.

I'm having a hard time with this whole "making money off the web" thing. I recently started a blog on blogger, and I'm using it as a learning tool. I own 2 domains, and I'm currently developing 2 niche sites, but before I launch those I want to make "money" (my goal is $100 for the year) off the blog. I figure if I can make money off the blog, then the niche sites should not be hard. The blog idea is not original, and there are tons of these sites around, it's an image blog of celebs ("yea, very original"). So I've done my homework, and alot of research the past month, yet I can't find any ad software or revenue producing service to add to my blog due to content, and page impressions limit.

The blog like I said is just images, and some sarcastic or informative commentary but when I go to sign up for google, bidvertiser, etc it states: "no adult, nude, or offensive comments." Now I believe the stuff I post is PG-13, and if any nude is posted it's an artistic nude... something that would mostly likely be at The Met Museum or AMNH, rather than Penthouse or Playboy. So I wonder if I were to apply for google or bidvertiser, and add ads to my blog, yet they decide I violate rules what would be the worst that could happen? Would the site be banned or would I be banned? I ask due to my other 2 sites.

Would snap be a good alternative for my $100 goal? Snap.com I find it annoying.
Is linkbucks any good? Again, I find this an annoyance.

What I don't understand about google adsense is how they allow a celeb picture blog such as hollywoodtuna.com to have google ads when they display nude pics of celebs.

Well any advice or insight would be gladly appreciated. I know this "game" takes time to master.

P.S. I asked similar questions in the Advertising PPC section of the site, but I realized I need way more advice than just PPC stuff... although that would help as well.

$100 for the year is a reasonable goal.... some keywords might be easier to reach that than others... but I personally think you could even aim at $100/month .

Don't try to use google adsense if your content violates tos... from what you said I don't think it would be banned... just incase, don't display ads on the specific pages in question... If you really want to make money with your blog I suggest affiliate marketing. there are tons of ways to go about it....

Cool, thanks for the advice... but what is "affiliate marketing?" I did a search, and I can only come up with amazon, program or that t-shirt site that's on every blog. As I understand it, affiliate marketing is that I get a percent of whatever I sell or if a person joins the program I get some residual. I'm not too sure what that is, can you point me to a site or program?

If you violate the TOS with Adsense by Google, they'll ban your account & not the site...

I started with affiliate marketing when I joined Commission Junction just a few months ago. Last month I made $1,009! Way more than was ever possible for me with Adsense. This is the program you NEED to start with and there's tons of advice in the CJ/affiliate forum here at digital point. Commission Junction is the largest affiliate marketing company and it's the best place for new affiliates to start; easy to use, top tracking, etc. etc. In the affiliate forum, they'll tell you all sorts of programs are better - that's because Commission Junction is the only affiliate program that doesn't pay for referrals. With a blog or website you can display commission junction ads for whatever company you might choose. Find your "niche" and advertise - contextual advertisements, reviews, and blog posts do much better than old-age banner ads. Best & Take Care.
