I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for my problem? I have been ranking on the first page for several keywords for a while now on Google, but over the past month or so I have been getting on again off again serps. Specifically I find that in the past month I have had serps for one week, then off for one week then on for one week then off again today, this seems to have started around Jan 4th. The drop seems to happen late Sunday night or early Monday morning. It is driving me crazy because it is costing me money the weeks I am off as I am seeing a 60% drop in traffic. The serps were very steady throughout November and December but since the January I have been having this strange problem any suggestions? Or is anyone else having the same problem. Thanks, mdf
I bounce from 30's to 70's to hundreds in serp for my most important key words while I notice the the top 20 usually float around without losing too much ranking.
I have had this same exact problem, January 4th is EXACTLY the same day I noticed it as well and slowly declining traffic from Google since.. I got a LOT of unique high quality content (500-2000 words articles), plenty of backlinks and some strong ones as well. I had strong steady traffic in Nov - Dec as well too. It really sucks since I was spending a lot of time building the site up and writing really long articles trying to attract visitors from the search engines, yet it seems the more work I put in, the less traffic I get lately. The odd part is I have another site with less content but is getting 1000% as much traffic!
