Well most interesting GP of Formula-1, 2007 Monaco Grand Prix on this weekend. Yesterday in Friday Practice round Fernando Alonso is fastest one and Lewis Hamilton followed him. Both Ferrari didn't in top 3. Let see what happen in today's Qualifying race. Current points standing is: Lewis Hamilton -- 30 Fernando Alonso -- 28 Felipe Massa -- 27 Kimi Raikkonen -- 22 Nick Heidfeld -- 15
Well McLaren have great chance to bulid good lead over Ferrari because Ferrari is behind in the Q/F race. Top 5: 1 Alonso 1:15.726 2 Hamilton 1:15.905 3 Massa 1:15.967 4 Fisichella 1:16.285 5 Rosberg 1:16.439 While Raikkonen on 15th place.
I think there is bad luck associated with Kimi. He had reliability issues in McLaren, and same now. (although this one was an accident)
Congrats to Alonso, I reckon Hamilton would have won if he went longer on the fuel though. Ferraris were nowhere to be seen!
Its bad week for Ferrari but good to see both driver gets point and Massa yet agian on the podium finished. I am sure Ferrari would improved most in next races and they did it last season. This time we get great races.
The win is under investigation for possible breach of rules: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/6698349.stm
It was a one way competetion, the McLaren's were way too fast. And it was depressing (Ferrari fan here).
Nonsense article. Alonso got hat trick: fastest lap, pole position and win. Also on Monaco is very very difficult to overtake (look at Raikoonen), as Hamilton said: "I wasn't going to do anything crazy"
Well another Dump investigation but as Ferrari fan I liked it but as Formula-1 fan I hate it. I am sure this would be fake investigation and they get clean cheat.
Was it the most boring race ever at Monaco, and the McLaren saga seems like 1 & 2 was under team instructions which possibly breaks the rules
I really don't believe it has anything to do with team orders. Kimi was driving behind Button for some 30 laps. Do you think that ferrari is not fast enough to overtake Honda? I really don't think so... If Alonso was 3 seconds per lap slower he could keep Hamilton behing because of the obvious fact - there is no place to overtake in Monte Carlo. Anyone remembers Coulthard driving behind Bernoldi for some 40 laps few years ago?
A lot of people I have spoken to agree that the real race at Monte Carlo is on the Saturday Qualifying. The only reason they still race at Monaco is for the sponsors...
Well I agree with you. There is almost no chance of overtake in Monte Carlo. Even Traffic is also key factor.
