A couple decided to name thier new born child "ESPN".... I can't believe how much shit this kid will get for his whole life.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/3268161.stm
Wow, with a name like that he will get shit. I don't see why parents are so stupid; I mean ones like these who name their kid some weirdass name. I don't understand why they can't look into why the name is weird and the possible future of the child with a name like this. He will get picked on. End of story. My name is cool, being Justice, but I have to put up with a lot of shit too (peace, statue of liberty, pledge of allegience, freedom, etc).
wow, that's insane. reminds me of Seinfeld: "Seven." "Seven Costanza... You're serious?" "Yeah. It's a beautiful name for a boy or a girl. Especially a girl... Or a boy." "I don't think so." "What, you don't like the name?" "It's not a name. It's a number." "I know. It's Mickey Mantle's number. So not only is it an all-around beautiful name, it is also a living tribute." - George and Susan, in "The Seven"
thats pretty stuiped, it would be nice to see the parents sued for naming the kid that. (but then again, espn wont because its pretty much free advertising, wow, what a life, you go around advertising a sports channel)
Parents too often name their children for the novelty without thought as to how the child will bear the name as he progresses in life. I put A LOT of thought into naming my sons. Names should have meaning, instill pride, and not be a cross to bear come school time.
In the 60's a lot of hippies decided to name their boys names like Ashley and Leslie. It was rebellious then and now it just seems weird.
wow you know that kid is going to get teased alot. But sadly this is not the worst name I've heard of. for an example I remember a kid at my church whose birth name was fatman...to make it worst he was more then a bit on the chunky side.
One time while my wife was waiting in the doctor's office, the receptionist called out "Shithead? Is Shithead here?" and this woman stood up and said "It's pronounced Shi-theed!"
