Mods don't send PM but email?

A mod warned me to turn on receiving email from admin.
Please tell me why mods don't send PM instead of email.
Since the forum has an option to turn it off, why do I HAVE to leave it on?

that's unbelievable. maybe it's someone pretending to be a mod. Mods don't cock the gun and tell you to turn on email.

I seriously doubt a mod could not find your user ID. Sounds fishy. Anyone can find your user ID, it's 53099.

 

i think he's asking for the username of the mod in charge of that forum.

It's been checked. Why can't you guys just send it by PM? Sometimes, normal emails are filtered by my firewall.
Anyway, can you please explaint a little bit about the infractions I just received? I feel it's extremely unfair as the victim got penalize and the spammer was set free.

I just checked it, that's why I am looking for an explanation. The reason why I feel uncomfortable is that the person who spammed my thread did not get any infraction, but I received 3. 1 for replying to his insults, and 2 for warning him to leave me alone.

 

It's automatic.

And if you're banned, you can't read PM's.

 

Just don't worry about it, move on and try not to do it in the future...

 

Good to know. Cuz when I viewed my profile, I saw the infractions, so I thought I would be able to see others as well.
