Here is the deal . . . as a program creator i find this highly un-ethical and disturbing when i get PM's like this.

People who hijack and trade other peoples software / information / without paying for it are scum.

For the record, please dont send me PM's like the one below.

I will report and post it to the community ever time!

    Cheers

We have to be realistic and realise that this sort of thing goes on daily here on DP. Everything I listed to swap I got as part of a trade offer to me. If the mods have access to my inbox, I assume they will check there and ban everyone who engages in this sort of routine activity? A lot of faily well respected DP'ers I might add!

The justification is amazing . . . I spend thousands developing products so piss ants like you can swap them like trading cards.

Yes electronic data can be duplicated infinitely without barely any energy input, cost or human labor to be swapped around on P2p networks and forum message boards.

As a fellow software developer I can understand. It's sad that I'm being forced to spend more on being able to protect my software from cracking then on building the software itself. But that industry is a leech anyways. An industry I believe deserves to crash and burn. The black hat industry is a leech on society in multiple ways and the worst victims of all are the fools buying that black hat software. There's no money to be made using it, there's only money to be made from the idiots who buy them. ;)

The way I look at is most of it is under the rug anyways. Its not like it costing your energy/labour by it being duplicated and traded underground. Unlike say a car which if stolen steals valuable labour from a skilled techniations, huge of amounts of energy, paint, metal and resources. With software those people wouldn't pay for it anyways, these people are specifically surfing dark corners of the internet looking for free software at their own risks of viruses, scams and what have you, There definitely not interested in buying.
Thats how I look at it.

Honestly, if I hadn't used cracked copies of things I know I would of paid for otherwise (hey I'm being honest here), I would see the point in your argument. :p

I must admit too I've used some software that were cracked when I wasn't endowed with extra money. I tend to pay for things now. Like I bought SmartFTP after using it for awhile I really liked it ALOT (I could of easily used an open source ftp client) but I thought it was worth the price. Some things I just find ridicolous and cant justify the price of the data.
Like DVD's movies. Buy it for $39.99 open and instantly this piece of plastic is now worth no more then $5 at a pawn shops. Instant loss of money. Really your just paying the high cost to boost hollywood big appearence of riches. I feel like I'm getting screwed on that deal so some snooby actor can eat caviar and live in a mansion for playing dress up cop in front a camera.

    Futher to this:

Because of this thread, some actually PM's me and sent me the product I was looking for, and once again it proves why I dont like paying for stuff willy-nillly on here.

Ive bought many products on here, and continue to do so, but on this occassion I was proved right, the product is utter rubbish and worth nowhere near 35$

    Justice IMO

We have to be realistic, if this was a retail shop, and you paid 35 for some pile of rubbish, you'd take it back. Same with Clickbank. Here its not so easy, your left with the junk u bought

@ CMS2009 - Again the day you work to produce a real product you will have a different take on things.

At the end of the day, your still worthless.

I think it would be best if you would send this directly to the mods and report it as spam, so they could make proper actions on how to deal with these kind of things.
