I would like to modify a wordpress theme to create a site like slickdeals/techbargains/etc. I want to just be able to post a deal in a one line space or grid-type box like the above two sites. Basically, I want an easy way to manage and add the deals (Wordpress), but don't want to basic look of Wordpress (ie blog look) and don't need it for content posting. Are there any themes out there that would make my site look like slickdeals or an easy way to modify an existing theme? Is it just a matter of altering the way a post is displayed? Well there are tons of themes out there. I did a quick search on Google and found 3 you could look at or search for others on your own. WP Maverick Templatic Daily Deal Theme Group Buying Site all it takes is a little search and google to find your answers most likely. I hope this helps
Thanks for the response, ethikz. I previously came across the sites you mentioned, but quickly dismissed them as I thought that they were purely Groupon-clones. I simply want to list the deals and be done with it.. none of the group buying/countdown stuff. But in looking at some of the options, it looks like I can customize it to get it pretty similar to what I need. Thanks again.
