Modifying google's code

I know google said not to modify their code, but I can't use the google search box without modifying it so that it won't break my site. The changes I made aren't major, but they were necessary to prevent the design from being messed up. All I really did was remove the table surrounding the whole thing and insert a couple of line breaks. I think I also reduced the size of the search box by 1.

I've had a modified search box on my other sites for a long time now and didn't have any problems. The only difference is this time I removed a table (that table didn't exist in previous versions google gave me anyway.)

Do you think I will get in trouble for this or does it seem okay?

Well I decided that while it is breaking the TOS, they probably won't notice or care. If they do they will probably send me a warning. They seem to do that with most small issues like this.

If you would like to modify "google" trademark or search box having default keyword, it's no necessary for asking due to obviously breaking TOS.
if it just color or font, it's allowed but you have to ask google

You can not modified the Google Ad code. You can edit the code if and only if you are a premier member of Google Adsense. I have seen so may websites with modified Google Ad code but as far as I know they must be premier member. So, you should not take the risk.

No problem. I'm going to do a more in depth article tomorrow or the day after since everyone has been asking about it.
