Well I just got the apprasial back from a $29.99 apprasial service.

They said between low and mid xxxx - I thought it would be more lol

I wouldnt pay for it. Theres plenty of domains available that could have laptops in the name. And i dont suppose many people search for modern laptops...do they??

 

I guess most people that you are targetting actually do search for stuff like "buy laptop" or "cheap laptop". "Modern Laptops" could be the title of a website selling laptops or showcasing a directory of websites selling laptops. I would not appraise the domain $xxxx unless developed. An extended ecommerce solution with custom development ready and a personal approach would probably give it a chance for higher appraisal.

I too do not think its worth much by it self, but if I can develope it, I am sure it can be worth something.

What do you all think I should make out of it? Laptop review site? Affiliate site?

Any ideas on what type of webpage to make out of it would be great!

I'd say it could go for mid to high $XXX if you were to make it into a blog and advertise laptops, software, hardware, modifications, forums, contests, etc etc.

Add both reviews and affiliate to the list. Even a laptop store. You are planning to sell it afterall, and not going to worry about laptop sales yourself. Chances are that your potential buyer may need to run a laptop store so why not..
