Hi, I've never had moderators for any of my forums - I've always done the hard work myself! But now, I'm coming to the stage where I need them. Are moderators generally paid to moderate? Other than money, what could I offer someone to help moderating a forum?
Mods aren't usually paid, and if they are then it is probably a really huge forum that generates plenty of income to share. Really, if the member you want as a moderator is dedicated and loves the community, then I'm sure they would want to become a mod if they really enjoy the forum. You don't need much motivation these days if you have a decent sized forum.
I agree, most mods do not get paid. However, you sometimes get what you pay for when you have free mods. If you find members who are dedicated to the forum and are big posters, approach them about moderating. Be sure to layout what they are allowed or not allowed to do and also a clear understanding of the rules. If you have an incentive to offer, it always make for more loyal mods.
can u give me a link to your forum ? moderators aren't payed usually, i have few moderators in my forum and i do not pay them
