Ok, I did read the Sticky and realize that threads about infractions are not allowed. But this is a bit different and I think I have to discuss.

I had an ebook-sale thread where I was a bit mislead into thinking that 'bumping a thread' only means when I write on my thread every now and then to say '5 more hours to go' and so on. I thought normal communication was okay. Ok my mistake and I take blame.

But the problem is with moderator intervention.

The moderators have bothered to look into the thread a full 3 days after the thread got live - which meant that I had been writing on what I thought was ok for that long...and today I receive five 'Red' infractions - all making my chances for a ban so bright..

I think this is unfair - It is like the Police waiting for a man to get into a scuffle, wait till one kills the other and then arrest the guy instead of intervening right when the argument started so that everyone is happy...

Mods - don't you think if you had given me an infraction soon after I violated the first time that I would have avoided the following four? I think it was your laziness that has cost me infractions..

Considering the amount of users involved to moderate, I don't think they are purposefully being lazy. In fact thats a normal rate done.

If that were so, at least I should only be given one infraction per "offence" per thread..I shouldn't have been given 5 infractions for bumping the same thread...

Mods should offer this concession in case they had time constraints..

It's your responsibility to read and understand the rules before you post. Getting away with something for a few days in no way means what you're doing is okay. You weren't misled. You just didn't bother learning the rules. They're not new.
