Does anyone know of a pre-modded version of PHPLD that's out there? One with the highest rated/most used mods?

I'm || close to red repping you.

    1. you're not funny.
    2. you fail at sarcasm
    3. lets see your great and easy MODs. (that someone else didnt write)

hell.. you don't even havea unique template.

practice what you preach then you'll be able to offer your sarcasm. until then, don't mock others for asking questions.

I don't make my mods. But I do get them for free at PHPLD like many others do. And I gave serious advice, because it's not hard to go to PHPLD, download a mod, and follow the readme.

Didn't mean to come of bad or offensively...just joking around, but I made sure to just not make a joke and then leave the thread, because that'd be pointless and stupid. I'll erase the post :).

To the thread starter : go to www.phplinkdirectory.com/forum, and there's a big list of free mods there.

That's funny. I actually have payed for many mods I use (other than the ones I create for myself). Most of the really good mods like VSDan's over at the phpLD forums require a small fee for download, so I hope the ones you have that are free are actually free. Best of luck with your directory.

It's just that from the past, I've learned that when someone new asks a question, and they are offered sarcasm in return, it tends to turn them away and they may basically feel somewhat left out. Search the phpld forums on how baaaad i used to be.

Over time though, i've learned to accept the fact that not everyone gets things as quickly and I just don't like for anyone to feel left out. Besides, we never know who the next great MODer will be. Everyone has to start somewhere. I was at that stage myself just not so long ago. Some of us possess the ability to ignore just about everything, but through my dealign with others i've come to realize that not everybody can.

I must admit though, I'm not having the best of days myself either. our beloved mr. Alive Directory had me going insane for a bit :)

I think in many ways the more successful phpld sites are ones that slowly evolved over time and were modified to fit the needs of the people that are trying to serve. On the other hand, there are lots of sites that are making money using a basic template and no modding.

Yeah..I get them from the mod sticky over there, they're free.

Yeah true I understand. I'll admit that I'm still a complete noob, but I've learned a lot more than most beginners, because I've had Mystickcal help me out a ton with everything, so I kind of got a good head start. I was still in no position to offer sarcasm, but it's just my joking nature, and I have to realize that some people don't handle jokes well.

    funny Mystickcal ...

the ONLY guy out of maybe 12-16 people i let check the admin panel of DirectoryDump when i was adding mods, to try and scheme by and add his link to the directory.

he claimed it was on accident....how in the hell does someone write a title, url, description, name, email and click submit on accident.

    don't trust him, ever!
