Does Google recognize text that appears in modal popup boxes on a page? On my homepage specifically I have decided to put three pieces of content in this boxes (that are buttons) to save space and it looks nice. Privacy policy, about, and a list of resources for visitors. My worry is that Google won't recognize this content, or choose to ignore it, because it's not content on the page but is triggered by the push of a button.
