Are pages more SEO friendly if I add an extension to the end of the URL, or does it even make a difference?

ie. Is domain.com/page_name.htm better than leaving it as domain.com/page_name ?

They are the same, personally I prefer to see a .html extension when I am viewing a site. It looks a little weird when a page ends with a "/" instead of a file extension.
