    I find Google crawls my non-modded phpbb forum just fine without a rewrite. The able2know mod mentioned above seems to be the most popular one though...

    Well I did a lot of manual fine tuning. I also have some things like the last 5 topics on different pages (like DP) and that kind of tricks. That helps a lot. Half of my forum pages are indexed as soon as they are 24 hours linked on some page. But I just checked out Able2Know and they sound sweet. Not some install file that does a zillion random things, but I can just pick what I want and what not. Sounds pretty good :)

    The able2know MOD is a good one insofar as it optimizes page titles, removes session IDs for Guests (incouding spiders), etc. The mod_rewrite is overkill and unnecessary, in my opinion. Bear in mind it will also create a bit of a server hit too.

    Ya thats kinda why I like Able2Know. A lot of suggestions SPEED UP my forum, instead of slowing it down.

    My forum used to be too slow when it was just pure the forum because of some add-ons I Installed. Anybody heard about the phpBB RPG? :) Its fun.
