Mod Rewrite

Hi,

I have been looking around for tutorials on this and have found many but it is really hard to grasp.

I have a page on my website called videoplayer.php and the URL looks something like this:

http://www.ilkleysb.com/videoplayer.php?videoid=8

I would rather it look something like this:

http://www.ilkleysb.com/video/8

How would I go about doing this?
