I was hoping just to do a few lines of code to hide my htm extensions and give the url that folder look, like http://www.plentyoftorrents.com/torrents/movies

Does anyone know how to do this for godaddy? Could I screw up my website by playing around with it?

You'll put that information in the .htaccess file. If doesn't work, simply remove that file.

Please note that GoDaddy interprets a .htaccess file within the next hour after creation (of course, after you edit, the changes are interpreted instantly)
