    Have you considered the last 2 options in my last post? Perhaps you didn't see them as I added that part of the post a bit later.
    As you are on a dedicated server, I think we can safely rule out .htaccess files being disallowed. If you have access, check for .htaccess in higher level directories or your Apache configuration files as they may not be allowing overrides.

    hi krt, where else can i locate .htaccess files? also in my http.conf I already took out allowoverrides none statement.
