Mod request..would be nice

Wont it be nice to have a mod that has different pricing for each categories...

Take my web directories category for example and i'm sure it goes the same with you. Every one wants to submit to the top category where the PR has settled and as for me if the deeper category hasn't yet gained any PR I would most likely allow it, until the deeper category has gained a PR.

But what i'm thinking that if there was an option for the deeper category to be cheaper than the Top, then I think most will choose the deeper category as it is cheaper.

Category in Society I feel for the most part should be free for non for profit organization, an option for that part should be available and this should be part of whatever directory script you'll be using as a standard.

So if I was to go to Society/Organization and I click on Submit, no payment option, just the forms needed to submit your site.

Just a thought on what I had on my mind a while back and thought that I would share and maybe the script maker or mod developer might implement it
    in th near future.

That would be great to offer cheaper price for deeper categories and higher for top - Good thought..

Also, can there be a mod which gives price according to PR...
Suppose i am submitting to web directory category which is PR5 - so on submit page it tells price $$, and if submitting to another category(same directory) PR4 - gives price $ :)

I would seriously install this mod if it was available and I think your paying submitter would like you even more.

So you would basically be selling text links based on PageRank?

OOps, I think thats not allowed now as per MattCutts.

We take fee for "site Review" - Then I think its not allowed to ask different price for "site review" in different categories ;)

Nothing wrong with having a different pricing for being place in a different category. A "review" fee is a service fee, service has many different pricing option or you can also provide a free service.

Reveiw fee is for reviewing a site... Whether you place it on top category or deep categories - Review fee remains same...

If you consider it a service fee - Than its OK..

Who will make this mod ?/ :D

Hopefully the script makers sees this thread and will try to incorporate it on the next release.

its a great suggestion, but think that goes against the grain of a quality directory? I see one where associated sites are all categorized TOGETHER and not all over the place. So i wld not use this mod if available as regardless whether it is PR0 or PR6, your site MUST go to the deepest subcategory in order for me to ensure the quality of my directories.

    My 2 cents ;)
