Mockup for new website theme

Hi there,
What do you think of this mockup? I'm still thinking about a pattern for the upper left circle like the bottom right has. But a differen pattern to have some variance. The RSS-Icon at the top will get orange instead of red.

I gonna make a Wordpress theme of it and will search for a sponsor.

Looks alright, Could use a bit of work though.

 

I think you can incorporate some gradients into your layout so it doesn't look so flat

 

OK, here's the second version with gradients, more color and such. Font for headers is Rockwell the other one Century Schoolbook.

 

Some hours of hard work and the LIVE DEMO is finally ready.

Any comments about? In the third box from top the top-level pages are shown. Quite many in my case :-/
Only the first post is shown fully, the others are shown with a first click, a second click brings you to the single post page

 

I liked the first one better. It seems sort of like an 'ad site'. I'm not sure how to explain that properly ... it's like one of those parked domain sites or 'scam buy this' sites.
