Hi eveyone, I hope someone can help me with this question. I have a client who hired me to create a mobile version of his website. Right now, he's hosting his regular website on a Windows server he owns and mantains by himself. Since this server is located at his office, he has gotten excelent local SEO results and even though his website is somewhat primititive and outdated, he doesn't want to change a thing to it or to its server configuration. As a result, we're exploring the possibility of hosting this new mobile version of that website in a different server; possibily a Shared hosting account using Linux. I just wanted to know if there would be any negative SEO implications in this, since he doesn't wanna see his regular website's SEO negatively affected in any way by this Mobile version. I know that by using the Canonical URL tag one can tell Google which site version to Index, and that's what we would be doing, but maybe there are more factors and implications that we're ignoring, so I just wanted to know everyone's opinion. Thanks in advance!
