I have a blog that identifies the header information from the visiting browser as being iPhone/iPod Touch or not and it automatically reformats the page for the browser. However, I'd like to move forward with a separate subdomain (m.xxxxx.com) that contains the mobile version of my site. However, I don't want Google to penalize for duplicate content. But I do want Google to index the mobile site as "mobile content" - if it even does that. I see Google has a mobile crawl active but not quite sure what that's used for at this point. Any ideas on how to not make the m.xxxx.com subdomain seem like duplicate content with Google?
Close it to search engines, and setup a redirect on the main page so if its a mobile device, it automagically redirects.
