I have access to the web analytics of around 50 websites. I can see traffic from RIM (Blackberry), iPhones, Android etc. I've been seeing mobile search traffic for some time. And been buying the mobile search elements of Google Adwords for specific clients in categories such as hotels. Recently I've noticed a big surge in mobile conversions on some of the e-commerce websites. When I look closely the most dynamic area is for the iPad. Based on data over the past 4 months iPad users appear to have a 75% higher propensity to convert. And on average spend 17% more than desktop/laptop website users. With other 3g and web-enabled tablet devices coming on stream from Samsung, HTC etc I expect to see mobile search market exploding.

Mobile search and tablet traffic will increase for sure, but htere is more road to be covered for tablets I think.
