Mobile phones and mobile software

Hello,

I have a site www.rsgsm.com , I haven't really updated it in a while , but I'm thinking of starting over with it , new articles , recent news ..etc.

What do you think I should change so it will atract new visits ,first of all what do you think of the design , is it outdated ? or I can keep it and just focus on the content , and if this is the case , what should I add beside newer articles and reviews ?

I'm waiting for your advice.

Your website is missing a photo at the top.

Also you are not telling people what they have landed upon????

something like welcome to my review site for cell phone and electronics would tell them where they are and then help them to navigate their way around your website.

I don't really think I have where to write a welcome note..if you have any ideeas , as for a logo in the top I have consider it ...other ideas ? As for the content what do you think ?

 

Other advices if somebody has any , I would apreciate them..

 

why at the top you leave it blank, I think you can put the image at there

By theme you mean the design of the site ? Also if you can please make a few comments about the content , do you like it , should I change or add something ?

Well i won't mention the missing image because you've prob heard enough about that already lol . However, just from a design perspective if it was me i'd start messing with the text size a little. Everything is exactly the same (droning voice). Mix it up a little, add a little spice (especially if your redesigning it). Nothing really makes me want to stay on the page.

 

you should change your logo as it looks outdated and in the blank space for image you can place an ad.

 

I;m not really redesigning it from scrath , just a couple of touches , can you explain a little more about text size ? What would make you stay on the page ?

Sure. text size i was referring to your titles are (as far as i can tell) the same size as your description text. I'd try increasing the size of your titles (ex Review Nokia 5800 Tube) so it draws the eyes more. I'd make the "Latest Reviews" text alot bigger too. Your page design and layout are great, just i'd increase your header size and photo size. I'd also go through and change your header colors. With the yellow you can barely see the text. What would make me stay on the page is bigger more OUT THERE text, as well as just simply increasing photo size. The split tests i've done for electronic review sites consumers respond much better to pics then text.

 

I think you should have an special and professional logo to attract people.

 

I suggest you to increase the high quality content in your site,, it will give you more traffics,..

 

I was also thinking for the inner pages , for example lets take the 5800 review ( http://www.rsgsm.com/nokia_5800tube.htm ) some parts of the review , i mean some words, maybe make them bigger , and put them in some kind of border with a lighter color then the normal text, maybe you've seen in magazines what I mean.

Do you think that it will look better ?

@ writers - By increase you mean more reviews and news , because on that I'm working , or you mean adding something new , if it's the last case , can you please give me some ideas ?

for best view, you must think large image...
i think your site must nessesary auto crop picture, so you can get best view and you can save your bandwidth

No focus, the text is just thrown there..
