Mobile Phone History

    Mobile phones getting faster technology improvements, in the beginning it has been used to make wireless communication with each other, but now it is becoming a portable device with all functions of a computer. In this post i would like to share about my mobile evolving history, And the history somewhat bigger so i continue it in oncoming posts too.

    1920: Police department of America used Dual way Radio communication, which seeds up the mobile phone technology

    1947: A.T & T Bell Labs found out that it is possible to operate the transmission of signals at longer distance when network of small groups of Cells(a Cell is limited region where a tower could receive and transmit signals) is connected with a short range transmitters.

    1954: First time it is made possible to communicate a mobile inside a Car and conversation was made, thus improving signal strength.

    1970:Rich people could make calls from inside the car(Car phones begin spreading through upper part of the society)

    1973:Motorola corporations Dr.Martin Cooper proved that it is possible to commuicate while walking in the road without car phone, that is he introduced Handheld mobile phones.

    1979: First commercial launch of Mobile phones usage began in Tokyo, Japan

    1984: Even though the cost of the mobile phones are much higher, approximately over 300000 (3 Lakhs) people used mobile phone

    1989:Motorola invented a complete Mobile Phone and assigned a name Micro Talk.

    1990:2G technology and GSM Digital Mobile phone which opearates in 2G technology has come to usage. The first conversation through Digital Mobile is the information communicated a by person who got into a train in America to another person who is far away from him.

    Mobile phone history continuation
    1991: On following Americans, Europeans also began to use GSM-Global System for Mobile Communications and used light weight batteries in their mobiles

    1992: Most popular candy bar type Nokia mobiles has been introduced and it became latest trend to hold up mobiles in hand.

    1996: Motorola's StarTAC wearable cellular telephone was the world's smallest and lightest. It weighed just 3.1 ounces (88 grams) has been introduced. Later, it has been announced has one of the fifty greatly useful product of 20th Century.

    1997: Ericsson R380 has been introduced to market and it was the first mobile phone to use New Symbian OS

    2000: 3G network has been introduced in world countries, but not throughout the world, 3G paved way for larger data transfer at higher speed, and video calling is made possible.

    2001: First coloured screen mobile Sony Ericsson T68 came to electronic market, it has resolution of 101×80 and 256 colours

    2002: Famous Hollywood movie Die Another Day's character James Bond used Sony Ericsson P800 to take a Photo Snap

    2004: Mobile Ringtone commercial sales touched around 250 crores(2,500,000,000 $) and made a great revolution of commericial electronic market.

    2006: Again in James Bond movie Sony Ericsson K800i has been introduced and it attracted many people

    2007: Approximately 130 crores(1,300,000,000) people using mobile phone across the world, and it is 5% of world's population

    2010: Let us see how the mobile phone would be changed in this new year.... Pls share your imagination or forecasting of mobile phone technology oncoming years.

    Even I used net mobile phones, its much more convenient especially if your outside, on school or just waiting for a bus

    WOW great info on mobile phones. Btw, are you a Sony Ericsson fan? One of the most popular phone manufacturer Nokia is mentioned only one time. Where is Blackberry, Android, Apple iPhone, Windows mobile and other phone OS/brands. Do they at least need an introduction ?

    Thank you all for your posts or comment on topic.... I am so much interested start new threads like this.. I have more info to share you all guys, but why i have not yet started posting them is i am not sure that Many people are interested reading info like this......
    No i am not fan of any brand i simply relay on quality and performance... Nokia has not introduced more inventions or technology so it doesn't mentioned there, sony ericsson has introduced clear mobile camera technology and so on.......

    Thank you lol....... I have got into some work... thats why unable to create threads like this,... now i have finished the work... so you all get some more interesting techie info's soon. I am greatly impressed to write about these sort of information on seeing warm welcome in DPers.
