Just wondering if any of you have a system in place on your sites to automatically switch to a mobile-compatible version of your site if someone is seeing it on a mobile phone? If so, has it positively affected results for your site?

If you are using WordPress as your CMS it's very easy to make your site mobile compatible by installing the WPtouch plugin.
It has paid me a few extra dollars per month, but no screaming fortune.

As cedarcottage said, look for some WP plugins if you are using WP. I came across a site called bmobilezed http://www.bmobilized.com/ while reading another thread in a different forum. I briefly took a look at it and it converts HTML sites to mobile. I didn't dig in to their service yet so I can't offer much more than a link. Hopefully it's what you are looking for.
