Considering the fact that smartphones are taking over the phone market place, I say it's a good idea to believe that mobile apps will contribute heavily to web design, web development, and SEO in the future.

A lot of people check out the Internet on their phones multiple times throughout the day, and some people only use their phones for going online. If their are mobile apps that can make it easy for people to find, create, or use mobile websites, it would be a big hit in the marketplace.

People love apps for their smartphones, so if a person has a good app, it is easy for them to use it for promotion. Many people download apps just for the sake of having them.

This is not true. unless people can't live without checking your site daily, say facebook or ebay. If you can see the list of apps with no ratings nor downloads that's because its useless to them. What you should focus instead is making you site easy to access for mobile users.

Very Well Said @TB Ann , First you should work on your website and make it super mobile friendly with proper "Call to Action" buttons. Always keep in mind that mobile users love H1 tags, So use appropriate headings so that a mobile surfer can scan through your content. Mobile apps are changing the way businesses are connecting with their consumers now a day. Also a mobile app can be used in various ways to promote a web design & development company who is also dealing in SEO. Here are some basic promotion ways that you can use. Mobile app acts as a direct marketing channel & you can provide all related information regarding your business through your business mobile application. It is also a big promotional tool if you want to target your audience geographically and allow you to engage with your clients. You can offer a free audit or a cost calculate via your mobile app. Try to work on creating value for your clients rather than using your business app for pure promotional purpose. Wish you good luck

Mobile apps is going to be really big. However it's also noted that you can easily manipulate the popularity of your Apps. It's going to be another arena of marketing again.

A mobile app is completely unnecessary for 95% of all web sites out there. People only download apps when there is a strong need to use them to access data on the daily or more frequent basis. Otherwise you will only have someone download your app and never log in more than once.

Until your web site or it's users demand the need for a mobile app you should heavily focus on building a web site that focuses on mobile first with a responsive design. If you don't want to invest the time in to developing and testing the cross mobile capability or browser accessibility of a responsive css grid you should use a lightweight grid system that already exists.

right, indeed the first step is to fo make your website impressive for desktop users and full of great content. After the website becomes well known and if there's the need, then a mobile app could be created. Consider that a good mobile app costs a lot of money if you want something competitive. Otherwise better to create a new design, mobile friendly or just focusing on desktop users.

Obviously Mobile app help heavily web design development,SEO,etc. Although mobile websites and mobile apps aren't the same thing, they generally offer the same features that can help grow your business by making it easier for customers to find and reach you.The primary benefit of a mobile website is that it makes regular websites more accessible for mobile users. With a mobile website or mobile app, businesses can boost sales, retain loyal customers and expand their reach.

When a mobile app serves a business-critical function, it’s hard to do without. Here at MyTime we’ve found that for the local, appointment-based businesses we work with, being able to take your calendar and client information on the go is a hard requirement. Many business owners are on their feet working with clients all day and need to be able to run credit cards, book appointments, and communicate with clients all from their phone. Our must-have app for merchants lets them do all this and more! What apps do other people consider “must-haves” for small businesses?
