I am getting involved (slowly) with an angel-funded mobile app developer that has an interesting product for high school students. They would like to get a large number of quality downloads (i.e., high school students who would use the app.) They have a modest budget and I would like to hear thoughts as to how to best acquire app users in this market. Some SEO, PPC, Social Media, and PR are in the plans. I am leery about incentivized networks and other forms of "buying" downloads, but am interested to hear thoughts on that approach and any other that might be effective.
Find related apps to advertise in. When there already using an app that targets the same demographic they will see a option to download yours. I dont know if this would work ive never been in the app business.
